COVID 19 UPDATE

(LAST UPDATED 11/19/20)

We wanted a way for you to easily get updates how we as a farm are navigating the Covid 19 pandemic. We are grateful we have made it this far with all of us staying healthy. Entering the 8th month of the pandemic, we have our health and safety systems dialed in. Masks and handwashing are so automatic now that we can barely remember what it was like “before.” It is truly amazing how resilient we can be when we put in the effort.

Here are some frequently asked questions about how we are addressing and navigating the pandemic:

  1. WHAT ARE WE DOING TO KEEP OURSELVES, OUR EMPLOYEES, AND OUR CUSTOMERS SAFE?
    On The Farm:
-We personally are limiting our time in public to only essential trips and encourage our crew members to do the same.
-We wash and sanitize our hands often. Hand sanitizing products are located all over the farm.
-Masks are required when in any building or greenhouse, when working with another employee, in the restroom, and when cleaning and processing produce.
-All produce and containers it is packed in, are sanitized using Sanidate 5.0 (concentrated hydrogen peroxide.) Staff wear masks while handling produce.
-If anyone of the crew is showing any symptoms of any illness, they cannot come to work. If covid is suspected, they must provide a negative test result before returning to work.
-We practice social distancing in our workspace. (Fairly easy to do on a farm of our size.)

  1. At Market:
-We do not allow customers to rifle through the produce. Our market staff will help you gather your items. Hand sanitizer is available for customer use.
-We insist on 6 ft social distancing while shopping at our booth.
-Staff sanitizes their hands between each sale if cash is handled.
-We accept credit cards and have a square chip reader that allows contactless credit card transactions. We also accept Apple pay.
-Customers are encouraged to pre-order produce to make market or farm visits quick, easy, and minimal contact. Customers who pre-order can approach our stand from the sidewalk in Olympia, and behind our stall at Proctor so they do not have to enter the market itself if they don’t want to.

  2. WHERE CAN I BUY YOUR PRODUCE NOW?
-Olympia Farmers Market Every Saturday & Sunday from 10-3
Please only come to the market if you are feeling healthy and keep a responsible distance away from fellow shoppers. In the event the market closes, we will figure out a more comprehensive online sales option.

  3. WHEN CAN I SIGN UP FOR THE 2021 CSA? Registration for 2021 will open in early January.
